“The Joy of Great Works Of Art” Featured at Twisted Fish Gallery in May

Great artists of past centuries…why are they so significant?

This May, learn about the most influential artists of past centuries and the tremendous impact they’ve had on our lives, architecture, fashion, and design. Picasso, Dali, Rembrandt, El Greco, Caravaggio and more.

Twisted Fish Gallery will be showing the special exhibit, “The Joy Of Great Works Of Art,” beginning Saturday, May 5 with an opening reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Enjoy refreshments and comments from Professor Emeritus Paul Welch, of Northwestern Michigan College.

Experience life-sized prints of over 30 of the world’s greatest artists, including Picasso, Dali, Rembrandt, El Greco and Caravaggio, among others. Tied in with this exhibit will be “Beyond the Canvas,” presentations by well-known artist, teacher and art expert, Paul Welch. Happening May 5 and May 19 from 3- 5 p.m., Welch will discuss the struggles and successes that defined the artists’ lives and works.

“The Joy Of Great Works Of Art,” will provide an introduction to the most significant painters of the past few centuries. The works selected for inclusion in the exhibit are those that have influenced other great artists and art movements. The exhibit will run from May 5 through May 27 at Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids.
