First Ever Doodle Art Day is Saturday, May 12

Join in for what is sure to be a fun and memorable occasion when we kickoff a new series called Doodle Art Day.

Saturday, May 12, and every second Saturday in the month, we’ll be hosting everyone who loves to doodle, sketch and draw. Held at the Cottage Gallery from 1- 3 p.m., we’ll have music and refreshments to help spur your creativity.

This free-wheeling group has no rules or boundaries, except to have fun. There is no right or wrong way to doodle and no rhyme or reason to what ends up on paper. With this open-ended approach, there can be no mistakes. Doodling is a visual expression of what is in your head or heart. Some visual expressions will be “artistic,” while other doodles may make sense only to the doodler. The creative act and overall artistic expression are what’s important. Even President John F. Kennedy was known to fill his papers with doodles!

The gallery’s doodling sessions are relaxed and casual. Join us to enjoy socializing, refreshments and good music. Share and discuss your doodling with others if you chose. Plan to come join the group, and experience a new opportunity for shared expression through doodling!
