NEW work by Anni Crouter in the Cottage!

Anni Crouter, one of ArtPrize 2013’s top winners has a special Holiday Art Exhibit at the Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids, now through December 29th.  Anni Crouter, an exhibiting artist at Twisted Fish, has just delivered 30 new animal acrylics and watercolors, which are now on display in the Cottage.  Crouter won second place honors in the world’s largest open art competition in Grand Rapids earlier this fall, winning $75,000.

Crouter’s ArtPrize entry, Polar Expressed, was a series of three life-size acrylics of polar bears.  Crouter’s newest group of work on display and for sale are from her studio and other shows, including signed glycées (prints) of her winning bears.

“It goes without saying that Anni is an exceptional artist and talent, working mainly with animals and wildlife subjects,” says Streit, Twisted Fish Gallery owner.  “Her acrylics and watercolors show a mastery of light, movement and settings that visually ignite the senses.  The poses she captures on canvas are truly remarkable.”

Born in Chicago, Crouter has been painting since she was a child and gleans much of her inspiration from her husband, a practicing veterinarian in Flint.  She attended Mott Community College, majoring in Business with a minor in art, and her art has been featured in exhibits and galleries around the country.

The Anni Crouter Holiday Exhibit and Sale is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays, noon to 4 pm.  Twisted Fish Gallery is located at 10443 S. Bayshore Drive, Elk Rapids.  Call 231 264-0123 or email twistedfishart@aol.com for more information.
