The Art of Painting from Life / Plein Air Painting with Louise Pond

August 15, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

“The act of painting outdoors is like a dance to the tempo of the evolving day, following the lead of the wind, impelled by the measured meter of shadows moving in their eternal celestial rhythms.”  – Louisa McElwain

One of our most popular workshops… Louise Pond returns this summer for some outdoor fun. Students choose the medium they prefer working in as Louise teaches techniques and shares her wisdom of the plein air process.

This one day workshop will be a fast paced exploration of painting plein air- making marks, elinimnating the unnecessary, telling the most with the least amount of details- with individual instruction on seeing value correctly and understanding color, temperature, and composition.

$150/student  8 student maximum

Coffee, refreshments and lunch provided by the gallery. Please indicate any dietary needs when calling to register. #231 264 0123
