Kimberly Erickson

Kimberly A. Erickson grew up in Chilton, WI and earned a double degree in Fine Art & Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Kimberly has had a diverse creative career as a graphic designer, sign painter, airbrush artist and fine artist.
Kimberly’s rural home houses her studio where she primarily creates modern clocks, abstract inks on aluminum and contemporary paintings under the business, “A Stroke of Genius.”
For more than a decade, Kimberly constructed one-of-a-kind, modern clocks incorporating different metals, woods, and inks for galleries nationwide.
Her new series of abstract paintings produced with alcohol inks on aluminum came to fruition in 2015. This unusual medium transpired from working with inks on metal from many of her clock faces, which she then took to a larger scale.
Her work highlights flowing elements or landscape vision. Vibrant colors that change with the light, give a sense of depth and uniqueness to her paintings. Kimberly’s work has been shipped and appreciated worldwide.
Kimberly resides in Dunbar, WI with her husband, Paul and has two children.
