Well known around northern Michigan, master painter Alan Maciag has a knack for capturing on canvas the everyday images that make this region remarkable.
In Twisted Fish Gallery’s current exhibit called “Landscape Views,” over 50 of his new paintings are presented in a colorfulMichiganpanorama of art, displayed in the charming Cottage adjacent to the main gallery.
Maciag believes that “our humble lives and the cycle of Mother Nature’s seasons are a parallel journey. Each exists in the presence of the moment. Each moves in a spiral”.
Alan examines the essence of the world around him, ever mindful of the parallel existence we share. As one in tune with Nature, Alan reveals the practice of living through his work. His presence on canvas calls us to enter this odyssey of ancient wisdom through the seasons. “Landscape Views” will run through August 4th.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sundays from noon to 5 PM, the exhibit is free and open to the public.
