DESCRIPTION:ANYONE CAN LEARN TO DRAW  \n\nExplore the classic form of drawing using the clothed human form as a subject. Mary Guntzviller will guide beginning students through the process of capturing the figure from life on paper\, providing individual instruction and attention throughout the session. \nThe class begins with a 10-minute warm-up of short\, loose line sketches to familiarize students with the model’s proportions. Throughout the session\, Mary will provide demonstrations\, answer questions\, and explain each step. DESCRIPTION:“The act of painting outdoors is like a dance to the tempo of the evolving day\, following the lead of the wind\, impelled by the measured meter of shadows moving in their eternal celestial rhythms.”  – Louisa McElwain \nOne of our most popular workshops… Students choose the medium they prefer working in as Louise teaches techniques and shares her wisdom of the plein air process. \nThis one day workshop will be a fast paced exploration of painting plein air- making marks\, elinimnating the unnecessary\, telling the most with the least amount of details- with individual instruction on seeing value correctly and understanding color\, temperature\, and composition. \n$200/student   \nCoffee\, refreshments and lunch provided by the gallery. \nPlease indicate any dietary needs when calling to register. #231 264 0123 \n*Students can paint from the medium of their choice\, but Louise will be painting in pastel.  \n*Wet medium students must have a basic concept of color mixing. \n*Weather permitting- rain date will be scheduled as needed. \nSupply list: \n*If using pastels- bring as many as you can muster.
