Holiday Ornament Knitting with Kate Husband: Tiny Stockings

Kate returns on Thursday, December 2nd & Friday, December 3rd for a 2 Day class featuring the art of making tiny stockings! Each daily session runs 9:30 to 11:30am. 

Knit in dk weight wool in the round, with short row heels, these quick to knit tiny stockings will provide students with the opportunity to knit very easy socks on manageable wool before “graduating” to adult socks. In the process, you will learn how to “turn a heel” using short rows as well as optional kitchener stitch toes.

Skill level: Advanced Beginner (knows how to knit and purl, and basic increase and decrease stitches).

Students to bring own supplies:

• dk weight wool in two contrasting colors (approx. 10 grams per sock, perfect for leftover yarn)
• US size 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles (or very long circular needle if you are confident in magic loop).
• Kate will provide a free pattern.
