APPROACH TO PAINTING with Louise Pond

Tuesday Session runs from 10am to 3pm & includes:
Choosing the perfect scene to paint.
Drawing thumb nail sized sketches; notan (value) sketches.
The art of eliminating, adding and moving objects within the scene to create the optimal visual excitement.
Concentrating on correct values and perspective.
Wednesday Session runs from 10am to 1pm & includes:
Painting our chosen scene.
Each day will begin with a demo and end with a critique.
*All mediums welcome. Those using oil or acrylic must have a basic knowledge of color mixing.

Must Have’s-
*A sturdy outdoor easel and chair (Chairs available at the Gallery)
*Sketchbook with pencil and kneaded eraser.
*Medium of choice
*Straight edge ruler
*Canvas, pastel paper, etc.
*Sunscreen, hat, bug spray (Weather permitting, this workshop will be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly.)
