Bryan Van Benschoten

Bryan retired after 38 years as the master potter at Greenfield Village Henry Ford Museum. With the advent of retirement, Bryan began teaching Ceramics classes at Adrian College, and continues working there as a professor, and also working out of his own studio. All of his pottery wares are created as one of kind originals, reflecting the creativity, expertise and character of his life. His work is inspired from Early Americana (1700-early 1900). These inspirations have origins in Art Nouveau, Asian and European roots. Bringing these roots to what we can relate to, he uses contemporary ideas for modern applications. This makes his work aesthetically appealing, as well as functional.
