Anni Crouter to be honored

Twisted Fish Gallery-represented Anni Crouter will be inducted into the prestigious American Watercolor Society in New York City on April 11th. This significant achievement speaks to her mastery of her art medium and the designation is resulting in additional exposure from arts organizations and the media.

Anni was second place winner of ArtPrize last fall in Grand Rapids for her three large scale paintings of polar bears. Crouter’s ArtPrize entry, Polar Expressed, was a series of three life-size acrylics of polar bears.
It goes without saying that Anni is an exceptional artist and talent, working mainly with animals and wildlife subjects. Her acrylics and watercolors show a mastery of light, movement and settings that visually ignite the senses. The poses she captures on canvas are truly remarkable.

Born in Chicago, Crouter has been painting since she was a child and gleans much of her inspiration from her husband, a practicing veterinarian in Flint.  She attended Mott Community College, majoring in Business with a minor in art, and her art has been featured in exhibits and galleries around the country.

More information on Crouter can be found on her website.
